Dear Isabelle and Marco, I've gone through your Guest Book three times already and every time I had to smile and laugh. Your very humorous descriptions of each other, be it Isabelle the mutt or Marco, the German Jackhammer, were simply hilarious. Great fun. Life is not just about living -- it's about feeling alive and spirited. You both certainly come across that way. Big hugs from sunny Phuket, Gottfried / Dad

Congratulations on your wedsite! We are honored to be a part of your special day. Thank you for choosing wedsite.com to share your wedding plans and experiences with your friends and family.
Children are welcome!
We only need to know if you will be coming with your children.
We will have 2 nannies to take care of the little ones while you are partying :)
For the youngest ones (less than 2 years old), we booked a room next to the reception venue (literally 1min walk) so they can sleep without being bothered by the music. One of the nannies will be with them at all times.
For the older ones, activities, games will be organised during the dinner, so they can have fun too while waiting for the dancing party. They will have a dedicated corner.
Let us know if we should order a kid menu for your children
We are organizing shuttles to go the Falicon and to come back to the city center.
One shuttle will pick you up in the city center (close to Place Masséna / Hotel Aston) at 1.30pm latest on Saturday -
Please don't be late as the area is extremely busy and the bus won't be able to stay parked for long. Ensure, you will be at the pick up point at least 5 min before the bus departure.
The shuttle will drive you to Falicon and stop at the main parking. From there, a short walk (less than 10min via Montée de Verdun) will lead you to the center of the village and the church.
In the night, we have 2 shuttles organized to drive you back to the city center:
One leaving at 00.30am
the other leaving at the end of the party (around 2am)
Should you prefer to leave ealier or in between the 2 shutlles you can use taxis (numbers will be available) or Uber services.
The Hotel Aston will be the hotel Marco and I will be staying at. We have special rates for the rooms starting 200 euros for standard.
Let is know if you would like to stay at that hotel so you can have preferred rate for your stay
The hotel Villa Victoria is not far from the Hotel Aston and from the shuttle pick up point.
We have discounted rate starting 160 euros for double standard room.
Please let is know if you would like to stay at that hotel so you can benefit from the discounted rate for your stay
Airbnb will be the cheapest accomodation option in Nice. When selecting a flat on Airbnb try to find one around Place Masséna (the main square) in order to be conveniently located for taking the shuttles
Nice International Airport is the closest airport. Falicon is only 6km from Nice, France. International flights from Asia will most likely have a stop either in Doha or Dubai (depending on the airline you choose); for the US the stop will probably be either Munich or Zürich.
Additional information in the Hotel section -
Nice has a wide price range of hotels. Any hotel/appartments in the city center will do (around the park Albert Ier, Place Masséna).
We advise the below hotel(which can be found on booking.com)
50 to 100 euros a night:
Hotel de France
100 to 150 euros
Hotel Nap By Happy Culture
More than 150 euros a night:
Hotel Aston (our hotel, we have discounted rates for Standard and Deluxe rooms, please contact us if you need us to book a room)
Hotel Villa Victoria
La Malmaison Ascend Hotel
Additional information in the transport for the party section -
We will be organizing shuttles for the day, yet if you want to be more flexible it is better to rent a car.
We expect one shuttle lo leave Nice city center at 1.30pm on the saturday so everyone can arrive to Falicon without rushing.
In the evening we will organise one or 2 shuttle to go back to the city center. We will also have Taxi phone number if you would like to leave in-between the shuttles.
Whoever is in town, let's meet up somewhere for a chill out evening before the big party!
Please RSVP with details on how many people (significant other, children etc.) will be joining. Thanks.
Please RSVP with details on how many people (significant other, children etc.) will be joining. Thanks.
We are planning a brunch on Sunday at 1pm. We know it will be tough since a big part of us will still be nursing a well-deserved hangover.
Please RSVP with details on how many people (significant other, children etc.) will be joining.
Brunch will be at the Club Nautique of Nice, so by the sea. Take a hat, sun glasses and swimming suit to enjoy most of it. We'll take care of the food and drinks.
For the children: Next to the Nautic Club, there is a small pebble beach (we are in Nice so no sand) from which the sea is more easily accessible.
Take plastic shoes for the kids so they don't get hurt with the pebbles (it would be more enjoyable for them).
Be aware - no nanny on the Sunday.

The picture on the left is the night of the proposal, which happened in Beruwala, Sri Lanka, on November 9th 2016.
Marco had not yet procured a ring, since Isabelle had made it explicit it had to be at least 4 carats and worth at least 5 figures. Desperation crept into Marco and he found himself wandering the sands of time along the beaches of Beruwala, alone and deep in thought.
Spotting a banana leaf, Marco jumped to action and fashioned a ring out of the banana leaf strip. This he used to propose, and the banana ring is today safeguarded in a wooden magic box that we purchased from a local vendor the night of the proposal.
Necessity breeds innovation.

It was our shared Sri Lanka past that brought us together, with the help of an Indian CERN intern -- alas, we do not rememer his name; he shall live on only as the CERN Intern. He will never know just how crucial he was to this entire plot. After watching a movie in the cinema for an event set up by a mutual friend through the webservice www.glocals.com, both Isabelle and Marco took the tram home. Isabelle had been in deep discussions on the quantum effects of the CERN particle accelerator with the intern, when they shared their backgrounds and where they had lived.
Once Isabelle mentioned Sri Lanka, Marco's eyes shot up and he immediatelly interjected himself into the conversation. The rest is history.
Marco once counted to infinity... twice !
Superman puts on Marco Pyjamas before going to bed.
Marco was once bitten by a cobra and after five days of excruciating pain... the cobra died.
100% German born and bred. A much better pool player than his younger brother Andy, he enjoys a good laugh and politically incorrect jokes.
Sci-fi and fantasy movies are the best, and a great video game goes a long way to really add to his experience. As his normal work attire is a suit, Marco most enjoys flip flops, t-shirt, and shorts. His love of the ocean and the beach will never fade.
They say mutts, or mixed-breed, animals have stronger immune systems, as they combine the best of all lineages. In that case, Isabelle will live forever.
A healthy mix of French, Italian, Spanish, Sri Lankan, Scottish, and Dutch, Isabelle puts travelling and planning ahead above everything else. Being practical and sensical, she enjoys correcting others, yet always does so in a non-preachy way.
Passed over for the French National Volleyball Team due to being simply too good and overshadowing the other players (we live in an era where equality of outcome is more important now than merit, you know), Isabelle has settled in the Geneva/Nice area, and loves travelling and hanging out with friends over a nice cup of hot chocolate.
An avid fan of science fiction and fantasy, she hoped a fashionable prince would sweep her off her feet. Ultimately, it was the German Jackhammer himself that arrived to do so.
Invitations are officially sent! Now is the time for you to plan ahead, think how much you like us, and if a lot, how big of a gift you will be getting us in person. :)
The sound of wedding bells can be heard in the distance, and the noise is getting louder by the minute. Culminating on September 15 2018 it will mark the second Big Bang as we will party like never before.
Welcome to our wedsite! We created this space as a special way for friends and family to participate and celebrate with us - anytime, from anywhere. We hope you enjoy browsing these pages for photos and stories about us and our future plans.
